  • The client is a major global market intelligence service. Its leaders are regularly required to present publicly and manage teams across multiple territories.
  • The EMEA executive leadership team had concerns about their ‘future leaders’ talent pool.
  • The pool contains 50 individuals highly competent in their technical specialisms but who needed significant development on the communication skills essential for senior leadership.

 

Solution

  • 2.5 day experiential learning programme run quarterly with cohorts of 8 participants from across EMEA.
  • The focus is to observe, coach and develop the communication skills of each individual.

 

Structure

  • 1 day face-to-face training and self assessment
  • First observed experiential module with action coaching (0.5. days)
  • 90 min post-module coaching session
  • Personal reapplication plan
  • Second observed experiential module (0.5 days)
  • 90 min post-module coaching session
  • Personal professional development plan

Outcomes

8.3/10 average 2013 score for participants agreeing they were more effective communicators in their day job and at broadcasting opportunities as a result of the programme

8/10 average 2013 score for participants agreeing the experiential programme was highly effective for professional development identified presenting to a new audience as a development priority

The programme has been expanded to develop the communication skills of other talent pools.
