Teaching for Tomorrow: The Sustainability Challenge for Further Education
Nigel Rayment travelled to Preston for Lancashire Global Education Centre’s (LGEC) conference, Teaching for Tomorrow: The Sustainability Challenge for Further Education.
He was there as part of our three year partnership with LGEC to support their Sustainable Skills project, the aim of which is to embed concepts about sustainable development in the vocational curricula of FE colleges.
As part of our role, we identified the conference speakers, who included, Bryan Davies, OFSTED’s Head of Sustainable Development and Conrad Benefield, Sustainable Development Programme Manager at the Learning and Skills Improvement Service.
Nigel was also one of the speakers, leading a participative workshop, which helped participants explore ways of aligning organisational, FE sector and public policy objectives with sustainable development.
