Chris Horton, BA, MA, MBA (Open)

Chris developed his early business career in the 80s and 90s as co-founder and director of several companies in the scientific instrument and creative design sectors. Over the period the many challenges of market deregulation, technological advance and globalization convinced him of the primary importance of continuous professional and personal development for all in the modern workplace. In 2004 he became a consultant working at the boundary of business and education. As Magnified Learning has grown he has worked extensively to co-create and manage diverse collaborative projects that bring together businesses, schools and colleges to support learning and transformational change.

Nigel Rayment BA, PGCE (FE), Ph.D.

Nigel completed a PhD in ecological literature in 1988. He subsequently worked in further education for several years, managing vocational, academic and cross-college departments. At Magnified Learning he continues to work as a strategic consultant to LSIS on sustainable development. He has undertaken a large and varied range of national assignments for organisations including SSAT and LSN.  He sits on Think Global’s Advisory Council, is a visiting research fellow at the International Research Institute in Sustainability, University of Gloucestershire, a fellow of the RSA, the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors, and of SEEd. He volunteers as a Fairtrade Schools assessor.

Aroop Tanna BA (Hons), Dip. M

Aroop is a marketing professional who has worked with several FTSE 100 companies. He joined BT as a graduate entrant and spent 8 years working in management roles within the Sales, Marketing and HR functions. He then joined management consulting firm Accenture before moving to work for mobile services provider O2. Since 2004, Aroop has worked in the Education Sector including stints as a school business manager and a consultant to secondary schools on work and enterprise-related learning. Aroop became a director and joint owner of Magnified Learning in 2006.

Andy Brading

Andy is an owner-director of AB Consulting, a Kent based education-business consultancy.  With a passion for helping young people to uncover their potential, Andy uses his wide ranging experience gathered from over 20 years of middle and senior management in small to mid-sized corporations, to develop and deliver relevant and effective personal development and work-readiness programmes for young people.

Sarah Cooper

Sarah Cooper is a Director of Development Garden, a company specialising in Corporate and Personal development and growth.  Highly experienced in the Learning and Development arena, Sarah has been involved in Coaching, Organisational Development, Psychometric profiling and the development and implementation of learning initiatives for many organisations. Equally happy working with groups and individuals, Sarah delivers quality learning experiences for her clients, providing a challenging yet supportive environment in which development can take place.

Danni Craker

Danni Craker runs Craker Business Solutions, an environmentally conscious accountancy practice serving small businesses.  Danni previously worked at PWC for 8 years across London, Brussels and Tokyo.  It’s her experience and enjoyment from facilitating courses and mentoring staff, which led her to Magnified Learning. She is passionate about the environment and fostering community spirit, and aims to share her experience and passion with younger generations.

Johnny Denis

Johnny has over 20 years experience initiating, developing, coaching,
leading and evaluating social and co-operative enterprises as well as
programmes in the community and public sectors. Johnny runs his own
consultancy sharing this experience with others. He places a high value on
building capacity for self-organisation, in teams and organisations. Johnny
has been awarded Fellowship of both the RSA and the Royal Society of Public
Health.

Sean is a Director of Development Garden, who specialise in Corporate and Personal development. Ian MacKnight

Ian is a soft-skills facilitator, trainer and coach. When working in schools his aim is to develop students' interpersonal and business skills to enable them to manage their lives, studies and careers more effectively.

Luigi Paiano

Luigi is a Learning & Development consultant with a strong focus on behavioral development.  He has a passion for working with teams and their leaders – exploring their challenges, reviewing their dynamics and collaborating with them to achieve continuous improvement.  This is particularly relevant for Magnified Learning as many of the group and human dynamics in the ‘grown-up’ world are replicated in our childrens’ classrooms.

Persephone Pearl

Persephone Pearl qualified as a teacher in 2002 and has been working in education for over 10 years. Her specific passions are education for sustainability, and using the arts for learning. She now runs a Sussex-based theatre company, Feral, creating performances and workshops that explore the themes of nature, myth and transformation.

Nigel Proktor

Nigel Proktor juggles many balls and wears many a hat. On any one day he can be fulfilling the tasks of music impressario, film producer, art director, copywriter, communications designer or education workshop facilitator. Educated in the graphic arts, he has turned his professional hand to record sleeve design, television design, radio production, comedy and even, the devil's own, advertising.

Julia Ridley

As an experienced management and business development professional, Julia has worked at board level with directors of FTSE 50 listed companies.  Her specialism is helping management and organisations to achieve their business objectives through developing their people. Psychometrics, coupled with advanced NLP based communication techniques and positive psychology, can be the key to really bringing about long lasting change.

Gillian Rothery

Gillian Rothery has a background of commercial training including induction programmes, change management projects, in-house IT systems and leadership modules.  With a passion to help others Gillian founded GRH Training Consultancy Ltd specialising in the sphere of employability skills and has worked in association with organisations such as BAA, Sofitel, Butlins, Tesco as well as for local colleges and schools.

Ann Steele

Ann has recently completed her Doctorate in Psychology at the University of Oxford, in which she studied the cognitive development of typically developing children as well as children with developmental disorders. Her recent research has been in adult mental health, and has focused on improving services and treatment for people with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Ann is currently training as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS.
